bank checksBank checks come in many formats and sizes for a variety of business and personal uses. Most of us are familiar with personal check books, although credit and debit cards are capturing some of that market along with on-line banking. Bank checks for business however are used more than ever with some large firms having dozens of checking accounts in multiple banks. Formats for bank checks vary wildly depending on how they are to be used. Laser or inkjet checks are by far the most popular. These are checks printed through a computer program such as QuickBooks or Peachtree on a laser or inkjet printer. Continuous checks can also be used with software programs but are printed out on impact printers. Handwritten checks for business are likely to be either one-write checks or three on a page stubbed checks although some businesses still use what are called voucher checks. There are systems for companies that use blank check stock and imprint it with their own MICR printers. Some of these are in a format that allows them to be printed, signed, folded and sealed all at once, saving time and handling. bank checks news:Good for Bank of America 4BofA Ends Overdraft Fees on Debit Cards Cleveland Fed produces third 'Drawing Board' video on YouTube |
